A warm welcome back to the workbench. I am thrilled you confirmed our blueprint. This project holds a profound sweetness. We are exploring the beautiful contrast between scale and texture. The bulky chenille yields a comforting, substantial form, while the fine cotton demands meticulous, delicate tension. Our shaping strategy will secure that innocent, wide-eyed expression we desire. Let us begin our work.
About This Creation
These two fawns embody the core principles of the “Baby Schema” aesthetic. We achieve this by anchoring the eyes low on the face and utilizing rapid, asymmetrical increases across the lower hemisphere of the head. This builds those pronounced, youthful cheeks. The larger fawn utilizes a super-bulky chenille for maximum softness, complete with a textured bandana. The miniature fawn mirrors these proportions precisely but opts for a classic fingering-weight cotton, finished with a simple, elegant scarf.

Miniature Scarf

Assembly
➡️ 1. Position the cream muzzle precisely between the eyes of the large fawn (or the center of the face for the miniature). Sew securely, stuffing lightly before closing. Embroider a dark brown triangle nose at the very top edge of the muzzle. For the miniature, embroider curved lines for sleeping eyes at Round 8.
➡️ 2. Pinch the base of the ears in half and stitch them shut. Sew them to the sides of the head, aligned with Rounds 5 and 6.
➡️ 3. Sew the head to the body, ensuring the neck sits firmly and does not wobble.
➡️ 4. Attach the arms flush against the sides of the body, just below the neck seam.
➡️ 5. Position the legs on either side of the lower body base so the fawns can sit upright unassisted.
➡️ 6. Sew the tail to the lower center back.
➡️ 7. Thread a needle with white yarn and create small French knots scattered across the forehead for the signature fawn spots.
➡️ 8. Tie the deep red bandana around the large fawn’s neck, and the red scarf around the miniature fawn.
