Welcome back to the atelier. I am delighted you have chosen to embark on this journey with me. The bond between these two little souls is a beautiful challenge to capture in yarn. We will focus intensely on our shaping today, relying on precise, asymmetrical increases to build those undeniably soft, rounded cheeks that give our figures their youthful gravity. Prepare your hooks, respect the stitch counts, and let us begin this rewarding project.
About This Creation
This design features two distinct but physically united figures: the Cocoa Guardian and the Clementine Companion. The architectural triumph of this pattern lies in the Guardian’s elongated arms, engineered specifically to wrap and secure around the Companion’s rounded belly. We employ strict colorwork on the Companion to create a seamless, built-in beige stomach, eliminating unnecessary bulk and maintaining a polished, professional silhouette.

Assembly
Sew the face appliques onto the lower half of each head, centering the top edge just beneath the safety eyes. Use a small amount of black yarn to embroider a simple nose and a subtle smile.
Sew the ears to the sides of the heads, placing them flush between Rounds 13 and 17.
Attach the heads to their respective bodies. Ensure the Clementine Companion’s head is facing the same direction as its beige belly patch.
Sew the legs to the bottom of the bodies, positioned over Rounds 4 through 6, angled slightly forward so the monkeys can sit flat.
Sew the tails to the center back of the bodies, approximately at Round 5.
Attach the shorter standard arms to the sides of the Clementine Companion, just below the neck seam.
Attach the long hugging arms to the sides of the Cocoa Guardian.
Position the Clementine Companion directly in front of the Cocoa Guardian. Wrap the Guardian’s long arms tightly around the Companion’s body. Use your yarn needle to stitch the hands securely to the Companion’s sides, locking the embrace permanently in place.
Sew the metal keychain ring securely to the top center of the Cocoa Guardian’s head.
