Assembly & Final Touches

➡️ Position the Mama’s head onto her body and sew securely.

➡️ Embroider a “Y” shape on both muzzles with black floss for the nose. Emphasize the gaze of innocence by embroidering closed, sleepy eyes low on the face, wide apart, using a simple curved stitch and two tiny lashes.

➡️ Sew the muzzles low on the heads. Attach ears slightly pointing outward. Sew the curly hair tufts between the ears.

➡️ Dress the Mama. Sew the back seam of the lavender dress closed.

➡️ Attach Mama’s legs to the base of her body. Use white yarn to stitch straight vertical lines on the hooves.

➡️ Sew the Baby’s head to its body, and attach its tiny limbs.

➡️ Finally, wrap Mama’s elbow-bent arms around the Baby and secure them with a few invisible stitches.

Tips & FAQs

How do I make the cheeks look perfectly round? Ensure your tension remains very tight during the increase rounds of the head. When stuffing, use your fingers to push the fiberfill directly into the cheek pockets before filling the center.

Can I substitute the yarn? Absolutely. Just ensure you use a hook one or two sizes smaller than the yarn label recommends. A dense fabric is vital for structural integrity.

A Final Word

You have breathed life into mere thread. This mother and child now carry a piece of your dedication and warmth. Display them proudly, knowing your hands have constructed a small piece of art meant to be treasured.
